Code Information

This DTC is set when the transmission control module (TCM) detects an invalid or implausible combination of signals from the Internal Mode Switch (IMS), also known as the Transmission Range Switch. The IMS provides information about the selected gear position (e.g., Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive) via a set of voltage signals. If the input signals from the IMS do not correspond to any valid gear position or fall outside of the predefined logic table stored in the TCM, this fault code is triggered. This may indicate electrical issues or mechanical misalignment in the switch assembly.
