Code Information

The Antilock Brake System (ABS) module monitors the traction control disable switch circuit to determine when the driver requests traction control deactivation. DTC C1093 is set when the ABS module detects an electrical fault in the switch circuit, such as an open circuit, short to ground, short to battery, or an implausible signal that does not correspond with valid switch operation. This prevents the module from reliably interpreting driver input, which can leave traction control disabled, stuck on, or defaulting to a failsafe state, usually with a warning lamp illuminated.
