This DTC is set when the Generic Electronic Module (GEM) detects an electrical fault in the engine coolant level switch circuit. The coolant level switch is a float or contact switch in the coolant reservoir that changes state when coolant drops below a set level, and the GEM reads it to warn the driver of low coolant.
