Code Information

The clutch position sensor or switch reports the position of the clutch pedal to the control module on manual transmission vehicles. The module uses this input to disengage cruise control when the clutch is pressed, to permit starter operation only with the clutch down, and on equipped vehicles to manage stop and start and shift related functions. C1132 sets when the module detects that the clutch position circuit is shorted to ground, so the signal is pulled low and held regardless of actual pedal position.
