Code Information

This chassis code relates to the anti lock braking system wheel speed sensor circuit and the toothed tone ring, also called the reluctor or exciter ring, that the sensor reads to measure wheel speed. DTC C1139 sets when the ABS control module detects an irregular wheel speed signal consistent with a missing or damaged tooth on the centre tone ring, producing a momentary dropout or glitch in the signal pattern once per ring revolution.
