Code Information

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module controls hydraulic solenoid valves inside the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) to modulate brake pressure at each wheel. The Left Front (LF) inlet, or isolation, valve holds and isolates brake pressure at that wheel during anti-lock and stability events. DTC C1201 is the short to ground variant of the left front inlet valve coil fault and is set when the module detects the coil control circuit shorted to ground or chassis, drawing excessive current or pulling the circuit low outside the module control.
