Code Information

The ABS hydraulic control unit (HCU) uses solenoid valves the ABS module energizes to modulate brake pressure during ABS, traction control, and stability events. The rear outlet (dump) valve releases pressure from the rear brake circuit back toward the accumulator when the module detects impending wheel lock. DTC C1205 is set when the ABS module detects that the rear outlet valve control circuit is shorted to ground, meaning the circuit is being pulled low independently of the module driver.
