Code Information

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module controls the ABS warning lamp circuit through a dedicated warning lamp relay (or an internal solid state driver on later vehicles) so that the lamp can be illuminated when a fault is detected and extinguished after a successful self test. DTC C1262 sets when the module detects an electrical fault in the warning lamp relay drive circuit, typically an open coil, short to ground or supply, or a missing acknowledgement signal back from the relay contacts.
