Code Information

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) module controls a warning lamp relay that illuminates the ABS or brake warning lamp on the instrument cluster to alert the driver to a system fault. DTC C1265 is set when the ABS module detects that the warning lamp relay control circuit has shorted to ground, meaning the drive wire that should be switched by the module is being pulled to chassis ground externally.
