Code Information

The passenger door ajar switch is a normally open contact in the door jamb that grounds an input on the Body Control Module (BCM) when the door is opened, signalling open status. The BCM applies a reference voltage to that input through an internal pull up resistor and reads the voltage drop to zero when the switch closes. DTC B1330 is set when the BCM measures the door ajar input held at ground potential continuously, which it interprets as a short to ground in the circuit.
