Code Information

The decklid or rear door ajar switch is a contact switch built into the trunk lid latch or rear door latch assembly that informs the Body Control Module (BCM) of latch state. When the trunk or rear door is opened the switch grounds the BCM input, and when latched the contact opens. DTC B1332 is set when the BCM detects an open circuit on this input under all conditions, meaning it cannot see the expected ground signal from the switch even when the trunk is opened.
