When B1335 is stored, the module has detected an electrical-circuit fault in the wiring, connector, or driver associated with the named component.
Scanning & clearing: Body (B) codes are often stored in the body control module, airbag module, or climate module. A basic OBD-II tool usually will not read body codes — an enhanced or OEM-level scan tool is typically required.
B1335 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.
The Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the right rear door position via an ajar switch that completes a circuit to ground when the door is open and breaks the circuit when it is closed. DTC B1335 sets when the BCM detects a generic electrical fault on the right rear door ajar circuit, such as an unexpected voltage, an open circuit when input transitions are expected, or a stuck input that does not toggle when the door is opened and closed. The fault can be triggered by a failed door switch (often the latch integrated jamb switch on modern vehicles), a broken or corroded conductor inside the ru...
