Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM), or on some vehicles the wiper control module, monitors the wiper park sense circuit to determine when the wiper blades have reached their fully parked position at the bottom of their travel. The park sense signal is generated by a contact or hall sensor inside the wiper motor assembly that toggles each time the output crank reaches the park position, allowing the BCM to time the motor stop and to coordinate the depressed park feature on vehicles fitted with that function.
