Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM), or in some vehicles the Instrument Cluster, monitors chime input request circuits used by switches and other modules to ask the BCM to sound an audible warning. DTC B1469 sets specifically when the BCM detects an open circuit in one of these chime input request lines, meaning the input no longer rises to or falls to a valid voltage when the requesting switch operates.
