B1832 is a manufacturer-specific body diagnostic trouble code recorded for Ford vehicles. It belongs to the B-prefix family of codes, which covers body, interior, airbag, or comfort-electronics faults.
When B1832 is stored, the module has detected a short-circuit (voltage pulled to ground or to supply) in the monitored circuit.

DTC B1832 is set when the Body Control Module (BCM) detects that the Door Unlock Disarm Switch input is shorted to battery voltage on Ford vehicles equipped with the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS). The disarm switch is normally a low current input that pulls to a defined low voltage state when the driver door key cylinder is rotated to the unlock position. When the BCM continuously sees battery voltage on this input regardless of key cylinder position, it interprets the circuit as shorted to a 12V supply and stores B1832.
