DTC B1834 is set when the Body Control Module (BCM) detects an electrical fault on the Door Unlock Disarm output circuit on Ford vehicles equipped with the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS). Unlike the disarm switch input, this output is the command line driven by the BCM to other modules or relays that physically disarm the antitheft system or release the door locks once the BCM has authenticated the unlock event.
