Code Information

The swirl control valve system improves combustion stability and emissions at low engine speeds by closing valves in the intake ports to generate a swirl in the incoming air. On these Nissan and Infiniti engines the Engine Control Module (ECM) operates the swirl control valve through a vacuum actuator that is switched by the swirl control valve control solenoid valve.
