Code Information

The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) controls and monitors the heater element inside the Bank 1 Sensor 2 downstream oxygen sensor, which warms the sensor so it can read post catalyst oxygen and support the catalyst monitor. DTC P1141 sets when the PCM detects a low voltage, or low input, on this heater monitor circuit, indicating a short to ground, excessive current, or a circuit condition pulling the monitored voltage below the expected threshold.
