When P1832 is stored, the module has detected an electrical-circuit fault in the wiring, connector, or driver associated with the named component.

Scanning & clearing: A generic OBD-II scan tool will usually read and clear powertrain (P) codes. For live data, freeze-frame capture, and bi-directional tests you may need a more capable scan tool that supports the vehicle's ECM protocol.

Code Information

This DTC is set when the transfer case control module detects an abnormal condition in the differential lock-up solenoid circuit. The solenoid is responsible for engaging or disengaging the differential lock within the transfer case. The control module continuously monitors the circuit for proper voltage and current characteristics. If the circuit shows signs of being open, shorted to ground, or shorted to power, outside expected parameters, the fault is triggered. The DTC may also set during a commanded engagement or self-check sequence if feedback is invalid.
