Code Information

The Fuel Volume Regulator, also known as the Fuel Metering Valve or MPROP on Bosch CP3 and CP4 common rail systems, is a Pulse Width Modulated solenoid on the high pressure pump that meters low pressure fuel into the pumping chambers to control rail pressure. The Engine Control Module continuously compares commanded duty cycle against rail pressure feedback from the rail pressure sensor and uses that feedback to close the loop on the desired target pressure.
