Code Information

The Fuel Shut Off Valve (FSOV), sometimes called the fuel cut off solenoid, is an electromagnetically operated valve that controls fuel flow from the low pressure fuel supply into the injection pump or fuel rail feed. The Engine Control Module (ECM) energises the solenoid to allow fuel flow during cranking and running, and de-energises it at key off to physically stop fuel and prevent diesel engine run on.
