Code Information

The Fuel Shut Off Valve (FSOV) is a solenoid operated valve on the fuel injection pump or low pressure fuel supply that physically opens to permit fuel flow when the engine is running and closes at key off to prevent diesel engine run on. The Engine Control Module (ECM) controls the valve through a low side driver that pulls the control circuit to ground when the solenoid is commanded on.
