The Fuel Shut Off Valve (FSOV) is an electromagnetic solenoid that gates the flow of fuel to the injection system, opening when energised and closing when de energised to positively cut fuel during key off, inertia events following a crash, or anti theft triggers. The Engine Control Module or a dedicated FSOV relay commands the valve by switching battery voltage to the solenoid coil and monitors the control circuit for correct feedback.
