The body control module monitors voltage on the wiper brake/run relay control or output circuit and sets DTC B1432 when it detects an unintended short to battery voltage on this circuit. The wiper brake/run relay normally pulls in only when commanded by the BCM and supplies the high current feed and park brake function to the wiper motor.
