Code Information

The body control module monitors voltage on the wiper hi/low speed relay coil control circuit and sets DTC B1437 when it detects an unintended short to ground on this circuit. The hi/low speed relay routes wiper motor current between the low and high speed brushes when commanded by the BCM. With the coil control wire shorted to ground at all times, the BCM cannot release the relay or modulate it correctly because the circuit is permanently pulled low.
