Code Information

The body control module monitors the high/low speed wiper relay coil control circuit and sets DTC B1434 when it detects a circuit failure such as an open circuit, excessive resistance, or an internal coil fault that prevents the relay from switching correctly between low and high wiper speeds. The hi/low speed relay reroutes wiper motor current between the low speed brush and the high speed brush, allowing the BCM to step from intermittent and low operation up to high speed operation.
