DTC P0023 is an electrical fault in the control circuit of the bank 2 exhaust camshaft variable timing solenoid, the oil control valve that operates the exhaust cam phaser. The Engine Control Module drives this solenoid with a pulse width modulated signal to route oil into the phaser and shift exhaust valve timing, and it watches the circuit for correct current and voltage.
