Code Information

The Body Control Module (BCM) monitors the door lock cylinder switch input, which produces a momentary signal each time a key is rotated in the driver's door (and on some vehicles the passenger door) lock cylinder. DTC B1562 is set when the BCM detects that the door lock cylinder switch circuit is being held to ground continuously, rather than only briefly during a key turn.
