Code Information

The B1827 code is set by the Body Control Module (BCM) when it detects an open circuit on the rear wiper high limit (park sense) input. The rear wiper motor includes an internal park switch that signals the BCM when the blade reaches the upper rest position so the BCM can remove drive voltage at the correct point. With the park sense circuit open, the BCM cannot confirm the parked state and treats the input as out of range.
