Heated oxygen sensor 2 is the rear, post catalyst oxygen sensor on bank 1, fitted downstream of the catalytic converter where it compares exhaust oxygen against outside air, generating roughly 1V when rich and near 0V when lean. The ECM uses this rear signal mainly to monitor catalyst efficiency and to make slow fuel corrections. DTC P1147 is set when the ECM sees the rear sensor signal biased high, meaning it stays rich more than expected or its voltage will not fall to a normal level.
