Code Information

On this Ford fuel system the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses the Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) sensor to monitor fuel pressure and control the fuel pump or pressure regulation to a commanded target. DTC P1168 sets when the FRP sensor signal is within its normal electrical range but reports a pressure that is lower than the PCM expects for the current operating conditions.
