Code Information

The intake air temperature (IAT) sensor is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor supplied with a 5V reference by the Engine Control Module (ECM) through a fixed internal pull up resistor, with the resulting signal voltage falling as the intake air gets hotter. The ECM uses this value to calculate air density for fuelling, ignition timing, boost control and charge cooling strategies.
