Code Information

The fuel temperature sensor is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor fed with a reference voltage through a pull up resistor inside the Engine Control Module (ECM). Because fuel density varies with temperature, the ECM uses this signal to correct injected fuel quantity and, on diesel applications, to adjust injection timing and to monitor fuel system heat.
