Code Information

On this Ford fuel system the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) uses the Fuel Rail Pressure (FRP) sensor to monitor fuel pressure and regulate the fuel pump or pressure control to a commanded target. DTC P1169 sets when the FRP sensor signal is within its normal electrical range but reports a pressure higher than the PCM expects for the current operating conditions.
