Code Information

The heated oxygen sensor 1 on bank 2 is the front, pre catalyst sensor on the bank that does not contain cylinder number one. The Engine Control Module (ECM) uses it to measure exhaust oxygen and control fuel trim on that bank. DTC P1164 sets when the ECM detects that this sensor signal is biased high, holding toward the rich end of its range without switching normally.
