P1169 is a manufacturer-specific powertrain diagnostic trouble code recorded for Isuzu vehicles. It belongs to the P-prefix family of codes, which covers engine, transmission, emissions, or fuel-system faults.
When P1169 is stored, the module has detected a bank-specific fault, meaning it applies only to one cylinder bank of a multi-bank engine.
Scanning & clearing: A generic OBD-II scan tool will usually read and clear powertrain (P) codes. For live data, freeze-frame capture, and bi-directional tests you may need a more capable scan tool that supports the vehicle's ECM protocol.

During deceleration the ECM normally leans out or cuts fuel delivery to lower emissions and fuel use under the deceleration fuel cut off strategy. DTC P1169 sets when the ECM detects that the Bank 2 fuel mixture remains too rich during deceleration, on the cylinder bank that does not contain cylinder one, meaning more fuel is present than the strategy intends. This commonly results from leaking or dribbling injectors on Bank 2, excessive fuel pressure, a fuel saturated EVAP canister purging on the overrun, or a Bank 2 oxygen sensor reading falsely rich.
