Code Information

On Mitsubishi vehicles with automatic climate control, the HVAC control module uses an in car (cabin) air thermo sensor to measure interior ambient temperature. The sensor is a negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor fed with a reference voltage, returning a signal voltage that falls as temperature rises. B1022 sets when the module detects the signal pegged high at the reference rail or otherwise consistent with an open circuit between the sensor and the module.
