LH deployment loop Circuit shorted to power
B1025 — LH deployment loop Circuit shorted to power
System: Body | Type: Manufacturer-Specific | Make: Holden
B1025 is a manufacturer-specific body diagnostic trouble code recorded for Holden vehicles. It belongs to the B-prefix family of codes, which covers body, interior, airbag, or comfort-electronics faults.
When B1025 is stored, the module has detected a short-circuit (voltage pulled to ground or to supply) in the monitored circuit.
Scanning & clearing: Body (B) codes are often stored in the body control module, airbag module, or climate module. A basic OBD-II tool usually will not read body codes — an enhanced or OEM-level scan tool is typically required.
B1025 is a manufacturer-specific code. The same code string on a different make may have a different meaning. Always confirm the code's definition against the vehicle's service information for the specific make and model under test.
The Restraint Control Module (RCM), also referred to as the SRS or SDM on Holden vehicles, continuously monitors the resistance and voltage of each airbag deployment loop to confirm the squib and its wiring are intact and electrically isolated. DTC B1025 is set when the RCM detects that the left hand airbag deployment loop, typically the driver side front airbag circuit, is shorted to a source of battery or ignition voltage, causing the monitored loop voltage to rise above the expected level. The deployment loops are low resistance isolated circuits (usually 1.5 to 5 ohms across the squib) tha...
