Code Information

The Restraint Control Module (RCM), also referred to as the SRS or SDM on Holden platforms, continuously monitors the resistance of each airbag deployment loop to confirm the squib and wiring are intact and isolated from chassis ground. DTC B1024 is set when the RCM detects that the left hand airbag deployment loop, typically the driver side front airbag circuit, is shorted to earth, pulling the monitored loop voltage below the expected threshold.
