Code Information

The passenger door ajar switch is a plunger style contact switch mounted in the door jamb that informs the Body Control Module (BCM) of door position. When the door is closed the plunger is depressed and the switch opens, and when the door is opened the plunger releases and the switch grounds the BCM input. DTC B1328 is set when the BCM detects an open in this circuit, meaning it cannot see the expected ground signal under any condition.
